Longevity Doctor · Charlotte, NC

A longevity doctor in Charlotte who reads your biology, not a protocol.

I am Dr. Daniel Tagge, MD, a board-certified family physician and North Carolina’s only fully certified Health Optimization Medicine physician. I measure against optimal physiology, write your Precision Health Plan from your actual data, and revise it as your biology shifts.

Twenty minutes. So we can hear each other before either of us commits.

What it actually means

Longevity care is not anti-aging. It is reading your physiology against optimal.

Most primary care asks one question: do you have a disease yet. Longevity medicine asks a different one: where is your biology drifting from optimal, and what is that drift going to cost you in five, ten, thirty years.

The answer comes from data. Labs that go beyond the standard panel, gut and metabolic testing, hormone status, body composition, training data, and your own history. The work is to read it all in one synthesis and find the early signals: subclinical inflammation, insulin resistance long before it shows as diabetes, ApoB and Lp(a) cardiovascular risk that standard cholesterol panels miss, nutrient gaps that explain fatigue, gut dysfunction that drives mood and immune symptoms.

In my practice you get all of that read by a physician, in writing, with priorities ranked by impact. The Plan is yours to keep, share with your other physicians, and act on yourself if you want to. Nothing about it is templated.

Questions

Common questions about working with a longevity doctor.

A longevity doctor measures and treats biology against optimal physiology, not against disease thresholds. The work is to find the early signal long before a diagnosis: subclinical inflammation, metabolic drift, hormone changes, nutrient gaps, gut dysfunction. Once you find them, you intervene. In my practice, that work begins with reading the data you already have, ordering what is missing, and writing a Precision Health Plan that prioritizes by impact.

I am a physician. Board-certified family physician, fully certified in Health Optimization Medicine, with an active NPI and the ability to order labs, prescribe, and coordinate with your other physicians. I am not a coach, a nurse practitioner, or a wellness brand.

Most longevity clinics in Charlotte are protocol-driven. You walk in, you get the panel, you get the IVs, you get the same supplements as everyone else. My practice is physician-only and built around your data. There is no protocol. The Plan is written specifically from what your biology is saying.

No. The Precision Consult is $500 and gives you a written Plan from data you already have. The Precision Workup starts at $3,500 for a full diagnostic baseline. The Precision Partnership starts at $150/month. Cash-pay, with superbills for HSA/FSA reimbursement.

In my practice, the standard baseline is four panels: Metabolomix+ (organic acids, amino acids, oxidative stress), the GI Effects gut panel, a food sensitivity panel, and an advanced blood panel that includes ApoB, Lp(a), hs-CRP, fasting insulin, comprehensive thyroid, and a full hormone panel. We test, intervene, re-test on the cadence your goals require.

No. Ongoing care (Workup and Partnership) is available to any North Carolina resident, not just Charlotte. The one-time Precision Consult is available anywhere in the United States.
