WOMEN'S HORMONE PROGRAM

The symptoms are real. So is the cause.

The fatigue, the weight, the mood. When something is off, most women are still getting told it is normal and sent home. We do a proper workup, understand your lifestyle, and map your full hormone network. After identifying the deficiencies behind your symptoms, we correct them first through nutrition, movement, sleep, light, and precision supplementation, then with bioidentical hormones, including testosterone, if necessary. A physician you can reach is with you every step of the way.

What you’re feeling

If this sounds familiar.

Any one of these is a reason to get a real read of your hormones. None of them is a diagnosis on its own. Perimenopause can begin years before your last period, and the earlier you get a real read, the more options you have.

  • You were told you are too young for this, and that your labs are fine.
  • Your cycle changed: shorter, longer, heavier, or less predictable.
  • Sleep breaks in the night, sometimes with heat or night sweats.
  • Mood, anxiety, and patience run differently than they used to.
  • Mid-section weight shifted, and the old levers stopped working.
  • Drive, focus, and clarity are flatter than your baseline.

How It Works

Measure. Compare. Optimize.

I read the whole hormone network, put every marker in clinical context, and address only what is genuinely low or out of balance. Lifestyle first, therapy where it is warranted.

1

Measure

Test the full network: estrogen and progesterone in ratio, testosterone, thyroid, and the metabolic markers around them.

2

Compare

Read every marker against your symptoms, your cycle and history, and the range where women tend to feel well.

3

Optimize

Address what is genuinely low or out of balance. Natural levers first, targeted therapy only where it is warranted.

Physician-Led, Done Right

Real medicine, fully monitored.

A board-certified physician owns every plan, anchors it to confirmed results, and monitors what keeps treatment safe. Not a questionnaire and an auto-ship.

Too many women are told their labs are normal and sent home with nothing, or handed a single fix without anyone reading the rest. Both miss the point. Estrogen, progesterone, thyroid, and metabolic health have to be read together, then matched to how you actually feel.

A physician owns the plan

Every recommendation is made and monitored by Dr. Tagge, not a protocol bot.

Confirmed result first

Treatment follows labs read in context plus your symptoms. Not age, not one marker.

Safety built in

If therapy is part of your plan, blood pressure, breast and uterine health, and your risk profile are tracked on schedule.

Individualized and ongoing

Natural levers first. Any therapy is matched to you, retested, and coordinated with your OB-GYN or PCP.

Where I can treat: care is delivered by telehealth to patients physically located in states where I hold an active license. Licensed states pending confirmation; currently North Carolina.

Common Questions

Questions women ask.

Reference ranges describe the broad population average across a wide span of ages and cycle stages. A result can sit inside normal while your network has shifted. That is why I read estrogen and progesterone in ratio, with thyroid, testosterone, and metabolic markers, alongside your symptoms, rather than ruling things out on one number.

No. Testing is about understanding where you stand. If your results are healthy, that is the answer. Treatment only enters the conversation where testing shows a genuine gap and you choose to address it.

Prescribing decisions follow the data. Where testing and the conversation point that way, perimenopausal and menopausal hormone therapy is part of the Plan. I prescribe within the scope of board-certified family medicine and coordinate with your OB-GYN or primary care doctor when handoffs make sense.

That fear traces largely to headlines from a 2002 study, and the picture for many women, especially those who start closer to the transition, looks different on a closer read. I don't hand therapy out and I don't rule it out. We decide from your history and your markers, together, with the monitoring that keeps it safe.

Yes. I work alongside your existing care, not in place of it. Records flow both ways with your consent.
