Standard blood work answers a lot of questions. When it does not, specialty panels read what blood cannot: dried-urine hormone metabolites, stool microbiome composition, urinary organic acids, lipoprotein subfractions and genetic statin-response markers. The right panel is the one matched to the question.

My fee is higher on specialty panels than on the standard blood panels. Specialty interpretation takes longer because the report is denser, the markers are less familiar, and the protocol that comes out the other side is more specific to the panel’s findings. The panel price on each card is all in, so what you see is what you pay.

For members, testing passes through at my actual cost with no physician fee: the interpretation, secure messaging, and protocol development are what the membership is. On a testing package, panels like these make up the rhythm; a la carte orders beyond it pass through at vendor cost, with no markup.

It depends on the question. DUTCH for the hormone network and the cortisol curve. Metabolomix+ for nutrient gaps, metabolic bottlenecks, and oxidative stress. GI Effects for digestion, inflammation, and the microbiome. Boston Heart for the cardiovascular risk standard lipid panels miss. You’ll receive an itemized receipt, and vendor CPT codes for partial insurance reimbursement are provided where applicable, though coverage is rarely complete. Your plan administrator is the authority on what your account will accept.

Often the better move. A membership puts your testing on a rhythm, at what I pay, read by me, alongside ongoing protocol development and the messaging relationship one-off testing can’t give you.
