The baseline

Blood work.

An advanced blood panel that goes well past a standard physical. The broad baseline every other result is read against.

By Quest and LabCorp · 131 biomarkers

Why it matters

Most physicals stop at the chemistry panel and the standard cholesterol read. That misses the markers that move first and matter most — ApoB, Lp(a), fasting insulin, hsCRP, the full thyroid axis, sex hormones with binding proteins, advanced lipid subfractions, iron, omega-3 status, and the urinalysis findings that point to systemic patterns. This is the panel that tells me how your biology is actually operating.

What I read for

Ratios over absolutes. ApoB instead of LDL-C. Free hormones with SHBG. The full thyroid panel with reverse T3. Fasting insulin alongside glucose. The patterns across all of them, not any single number.

What it measures
